Bruaich Rainich is the Gaelic name for ‘Bracken Brae’, This delightful house is a traditional crofters family home, Built from local stone during 1923 by the Grandfather of the current owner. The house is a retreat from the Turmoil of modern living without sacrificing too many of its comforts.

It is set in a peaceful hollow beneath the hills in the village of ‘Polbain’ near Achiltibuie – every window provides Stunning views of the Island of Tanera, Loch Broom and The Torridon Mountains beyond. The house is very Spacious, warm & sunny. The original timber panelling And period furniture retain the Highland charm of days Gone by – whilst soft furnishings and a modern kitchen Provide comfortable accommodation for your holiday.

The Sitting Room has retained many of the original Features, walls are still panelled with the original pine Planks, it has a lovely comfy sofa and arm chairs and the option of a real open fire! (There is also an electric fire Should you not wish to have the real one!) There is a Widescreen TV with Sky/DVD Player. (The sofa converts To a double bed to provide extra sleeping facilities)

The Dining Room another good sized room with table & Chairs for six, also welsh dresser equipped with drinking Glasses, table linen & picnic basket. An electric log stove Makes the dining room lovely & cosy.

Very well equipped kitchen electric cooker & hob, Fridge. Freezer, microwave, Bread Maker, washing machine and much more!

The bathroom has a lovely rolltop bath, and magnificent Views from the window- pure relaxation!

There are 2 double bedrooms upstairs one is a kingsize bed The other with double and a single. Both rooms are very Spacious with south facing windows, walls and ceilings are Clad with the original pine planks as they were when the House was built.

Outside the house is a grassed area well fenced and safe for Children/dogs. The ‘Old Cow Byre’ is now converted to Storage for bicycles coal and logs. A lovely wooden seat Is outside the front door so you can just sit and take in the Glorious views!
