Visit the beautiful county of Perthshire – the many activities available make it one of the best holiday destinations in Scotland.  The main towns are Perth,  Pitlochry, Crieff & Aberfeldy.

Pitlochry is a delightful Victorian Town nestling in the Perthshire Highlands and is the tourist centre of Highland Perthshire. Pitlochry is centrally placed for exploring the Highlands and is a popular holiday destination.  It is famous for the Festival Theatre, Salmon Ladder & Woollen Shops.  A visit to the Dam Visitor Centre,& salmon ladder is a must, also learn the secrets of malt whisky making at Blair Atholl & Edradour Distilleries.

Pitlochry is great for walking with many sell-signposted forest trails – guided walks & designated mountain bike routes.

Pitlochry’s Festival Theatre’s season runs from May to October – at its peak you can see 7 plays in 6 days.  Concerts & other entertainments are also staged here.  A memorable day can be rounded off by watching the sunset over the picture post-card Queens View where you can also take a look in the Visitor Centre.

Some of Scotland’s finest trout & salmon angling is enjoyed here, particularly on the River Tay.  Here the salmon don’t actually jump up the ladder – but swim through interconnecting pipes.  An observation chamber allows visitors to watch the salmon underwater through a large plate glass window.
